MISSIONS
Science 3D content is made up of Missions that provide a project-based approach to STEM learning, featuring real-world problems and phenomena, as well as real scientist role models. At the core of each Mission is a broadcast quality video with inspiring story telling that shows a science team exploring and collecting data using the latest techniques and technologies. The Mission activities are designed to let students be scientists, answering their own questions with data and reinforcing the scientific method, engineering design process and nature of science standards. Four types of activities, that can be mixed and matched, are included in every Mission. And, students will learn about the careers of the people they see in the video and behind the scenes!

OUR STORY
While filming a documentary in Shark Bay Australia, Dr. Mike Heithaus and Patrick Greene came up with the concept of bringing the field to students by combining inspiring and exciting real scientific research, and exploration with in-classroom videos and an inquiry-based curriculum. Symbio Education brings the world’s most amazing plants and animals from the most remote locations straight into the classroom. With engaging and charismatic scientists from diverse backgrounds helping lead the investigation, students will connect to, and engage with, science in deeper and more meaningful ways. Students will be scientists, engineers, and videographers, mastering STEM standards while being fully engaged. The vision of Symbio Education is to transform science and STEM education – both formal and informal - through the combination of the highest quality media and cutting-edge real science and scientists. We seek to inspire lifelong curiosity, engage students in the scientific process, and enhance student learning in the next generation of STEM professionals and engaged public. It is our mission to inspire and educate the next generation of scientists and science-enthusiasts no matter their career or life path.
